MASMA PROPOSALS

Please read the instructions carefully before completing this form.

Applicants are requested to fill in the following form. The information requested should be typed or entered into the required fields below and where additional information is required, a separate attachment will need to be uploaded to this application. You will be notified by email on successful completion of the submission.

  • Proposal Document (For Research Proposals, should strictly NOT EXCEED 24 A4 PAGES (excluding cover page, budget and Annexes) Proposals to organise workshops/workshops and books publications should strictly NOT EXCEED 5 A4 PAGES (excluding annexes))
  • Supporting documents (Details of the Institution/Consortium of Institutions)
  • Letters of Reference (A letter of reference is required and should be provided by a person who has personal knowledge of the applicant(s)’ ability to conduct the research/project.)

Proposal Details

  • Submit the proposal

  • For ‘Research Proposals’, Full proposals should strictly NOT EXCEED 24 A4 PAGES (excluding the cover page, budget and annexes) prepared as a WORD Document, using Times New Roman 12 pts, and according to the format described - click here for Guidelines for Preparation of full proposals.

    For ‘Proposals to organize workshops/courses’ and ‘Proposals for Books projects’, Proposals should strictly NOT EXCEED 5 A4 PAGES (excluding annexes) prepared as a WORD Document, using Times New Roman 11 pts, and should contain the following information:

    1. Description of the training course/ workshop/ publication of a book, its purpose, intended audience (and their anticipated number), and resulting product/output (which could be publications or follow-up activities)
    2. Proposals should identify and demonstrate a clear need for the course/workshop
    3. A specific budget detailing the exact nature of all anticipated expenses
    4. Matching Funding Plan.
    5. A timeframe for the implementation of the proposed activities is essential.

    For the organization of the training courses/workshops, additional information is required on the course outline, the name, qualifications and anticipated tasks of Trainers. Training courses and workshops should not exceed two weeks.

    For the publication of books, additional information will be needed on the content of the book in terms of an outline of chapters as well as the names of the authors or potential authors, if not yet written.

  • Supporting documents

    • Details of the Institution/Consortium of Institutions: A description of the Institution submitting the proposal, including a motivation outlining the capacity of the institution to carry out the proposed work, and to manage the proposed activities from a logistic and financial perspective. In the case of a consortium, this motivation should be extended to all institutions that are part of the consortium, and a project management framework should be included in the proposal describing how the partners will work together. Should not be more than 5 pages and should be submitted in one file
    • One page curriculum vitae (CVs) each for the Principal Investigators and co-investigators. All CVs should be in one file
  • Letters of Reference

  • A letter of reference is required and should be provided by a person who has personal knowledge of the applicant(s)’ ability to conduct the research/project.
